What we do

Three ways we put members to work

1

Find opportunity

Public work is spread across thousands of agencies, counties, cities and school districts. We bring federal, state and local awards together in one place, along with plain-language guides on how to win them.

2

Get found by primes and agencies

Prime contractors and contracting officers use the directory to find builders, engineers and mechanical and electrical contractors with real past performance for teaming, design-build and subcontracting. A complete listing puts your record in front of them.

3

Support the next generation

We serve as advisors to trade schools across the country, sharing what our members see in the field so students, especially from underserved communities, can find their own way to opportunity in the trades.

Helping the next generation find its way in

We work with trade schools across the country in an advisory role. We don't hire or place students ourselves. Instead, we share what public owners and contractors are building and looking for, so schools can point their students, especially those from underserved communities, toward real opportunity and a career they can grow in.

  1. Industry insightWhat public owners and our member firms are building, and the skills that work calls for.
  2. Career pathwaysAdvice on how people move from apprentice to journeyman, foreman and beyond.
  3. Starting a businessHow graduates who start their own firms can register, get listed and pursue public contracts.
  4. Free resourcesThe directory, our guides and public award data are free for any school or student to use.

About our data

Listings are built from public records: company details from SAM.gov, federal awards from USAspending.gov, and awards published by state procurement offices, counties, cities and school districts. Street addresses, capabilities and contact forms appear only once a firm confirms its listing, and firms' email addresses are never published. Paid placement never changes what public records say about a firm.

Member badges may be displayed only by Premium and Preferred members in good standing, on their own websites and materials.

We are not affiliated with SAM.gov, USAspending.gov, the SBA or any federal, state or local government agency. To correct a listing, update it here. To remove one, ask here.
